Selecting Text
To edit a certain block of your text, you must first select the text you wish to edit. To do this, left-click with your mouse at the beginning or end of the block of text you wish to edit. Then, drag your mouse over the text you are editing, and your mouse will begin highlighting the block of text you drag over. When you have captured the block you’re editing completely, release your finger from the clicker on the mouse.
Other ways to highlight your desired area are by clicking at one end of the text, holding the shift key, and clicking at the other end. Alternatively, you can hold [ctrl]-[shift] and use the four arrow keys to highlight a desired block of text.
Finally, if you wish to select everything on your document, you can use the keyboard shortcut, [ctrl]-[A], and it will select the text from your entire document.
Cut, Copy, Paste
To Cut your Selected Text, right-click on the highlighted text and select “Cut” from the menu that will appear on your screen, or use the keyboard shortcut, [ctrl]-[X]
To Copy your Selected Text, right-click on the highlighted text and select “Copy” from the menu that will appear on your screen, or use the keyboard shortcut, [ctrl]-[C]
To Paste your Selected Text, right-click on the highlighted text and select “Paste” from the menu that will appear on your screen, or use the keyboard shortcut, [ctrl]-[V]
