If you’re having difficulties logging into Remote Desktop, perhaps it’s because you’re trying to log in with your 6-digit PIN. While the PIN works to login to your computer, it will not work to login to Remote Desktop. Instead, you should login to Remote Desktop with the Password you created for your E-mail address. To do this, use the following steps.

When you first open Remote Desktop to login, a window should pop up that looks like the following. If you are prompted to enter your PIN, instead click “More Choices” written in blue at the bottom left-hand corner.

Next, a display of options should display as shown below. If you have logged in this way before, your email address should be the first option that shows up. Beside it is an icon of a vertical rectangle with a small human figure inside. If this option appears, click this one. If not, choose “Use a different account” and login with the same e-mail and password you use to unlock your computer.

Finally, you will be prompted to enter your password. Once you’ve entered it correctly, you will be able to gain access to Remote Desktop.
